If you are not ready, you may want to prepare for a wet weekend; and possibly a winter storm a few days later (around Dec. 2).
Here, we are prepared to get roofs ready for the wet, and possible cold weather. Made to two trips to pick enough galvanized roofing to get the new addition(s) done.
Marvin’s in Anniston had most of what we needed; but we had to drive to Gadsden’s Marvin’s for the last 4- 12 foot long sheets of metal.
Dave had spent the morning get a rack attached to the grey Ford cab roof, and camper top — then added a wooden cage/frame to support the sheets.
After a bit of fine-tuning for the tie-downs, and making sure we were ready to go. The trip went well. Dave said the truck was ‘getting light’ when he was driving near 55, just with the wooden frame up top.
Anyway, we got back, Dave put up one roof support beam; but waited until Billy came over for the last two beams.

For the past 45 minutes-an hour, ‘we’ have been tending food dishes on the wood burning stove: potatoes, chicken with gravy, and green beans.
Everything but the potatoes is ready…done.
Feeding time.
More later…
