A Cass High School teacher and coach was arrested Thursday on a felony sexual assault charge.
Matthew James “Jamie” Stewart, 25, of 12 Mill View Court, Adairsville, was arrested Thursday morning by Bartow County Schools Chief SRO Dan Knowles.
Cass High Principal Michael Nelson deferred comment to Supt. John Harper. Harper said Stewart was placed on leave after meeting with Nelson Thursday morning.
