Must have been a pretty cold night; the temp in the living room when I checked this morning was 59.
Typically the living room is between 65-70 degrees; even when there is a light frost outdoors.
Breakfast this morning? Oatmeal, which is simmering on the woodburning stove. The Ashley does good for cooking, when it gets up to temperature.
Dave is chatting with/teasing the kitten who is fussing either about the cold feet, or wanting food. Cobweb, has gotten a bit quieter; but is still chatty when she knows people are nearby.
Their breakfast will be just after we eating. This way they get a few morsels of hot cereal, or other foodstuffs from our breakfast. They don’t seem to be interested in cold/dry catfood, every morning. What they don’t know is that there will be a few bones, and seasoning from a ham that was cooked several days back.
Yes, I will probably warm these too. Since each has been in the fridge for a while — warmer foods go much better on colder days; even for cats.

On other topics:
I went through several buildings yesterday looking for certain items that had been in storage. I succeeded in find items I had wondered about; but did not find the Gorrilla (guitar) Amp, nor a couple of other smaller items.
I did find a much need pair of cloth gloves, several knick-knack that would be perfect gifting items; and I hit a “bonus” when I found an old store of cassette tapes — 5 of which were Baghdad, 3 of Tomboy, and about a handful of other bands that I had either interviewed, or had permission to record while playing at Brother’s.
The Baghdad tapes, I hope are in good order. One in particular has Bill, Jim, and Joey harmonizing on the Beatles, “This Boy”. They sat down to this vocal/musical treat while their roadcrew was breaking down the stage equipment after a show.
I called about midday, and left a message for Joey Ledbetter, about finding the tapes; he returned the call around 9:00 last. I think he would have come thru the phone, if it were possible. (He still wants to get an archival/video/sound business going, to preserve video/photos/audio family moments, using the computer, and transferring to CD/DVD…”for a modest fee”.)
Later in the day, Dave and I went to The Rocket, picked up our phone-in lunch order; stopped at the Co-Op on the way; then went to the J’ville Ace Hardware for parts to go on the other barrel woodburning stove Dave was working on. Then we went to Lenlock — ate a picnic lunch; the next stop was Marvin’s to pick up 10 sheets of blueboard. Then we headed to Sax Hardware; and rounded out the trip with stops at Wright’s Dairy, Food Outlet Jr., and Wildwood.
The turkey breast from F.O. is thawing, and will be on/in the stove cooking sometime Saturday.
TODAY:
Planning to get by PCH’s old location; and see what’s what there.
Joey asked that I give him a call, when we got near J’ville; saying he would meet, and pick up tha cassettes, then.
Guess I’d best check the oats, looks like they might be close to ready.
