I have the covered pan of chili out, getting to room temp, the pan of rice/water boiling on the stove; a GEDCOM file importing to Reunion 8 on the laptop.
My fingers are very bad spellers today…anyway, I will worry about spelling later.
I just wanted to keep an eye on the food while it cooked, as well as get a new version of my gedcom file on the laptop (be back in a ’sec’, food needs tending)
I could ‘nuke’ the rice, but what would it be like?
I’d just as well cook it on the stove top, and nuke it as a last minute resort, to get the grains cooked.
My goal for lunch is to rice-up the chili (which is getting room temp); and eat a filling meal.
Mr. Brock, our neighbor, brought a truckload of ’stuff’ over earlier; he’d been cleaning a shed or room out; and thought Dave might could use some of the items for something. Which we probably can find use for some of it.
While over there, after tears several flemzy boxes down — I went through some old papers at the store/trailer; then walked back over here to get lunch started.
I do believe that I have just about had enough soda for the day, and the energy level for typing is about right; but the fingers keep hitting wrong keys (my typing was corrected, after a good lunch, by the way…).
The soda, and other things — plenty of sun, and clear head/sinues — allowed me to get a good many books priced yesterday. They are stacked everywhere in the work room — in a chair, on the desk; overflowing from the shelves…
Now, I need to get some of the many books into the database, and shelved.
It being close to Halloween, maybe I will get the Stephen King shelf-full of books done, who knows?
There are several ‘new/used’ book titles that I want to read; but with winterizing, and doing other projects around the farm, I haven’t read a book in several days.
Yes, this is a disjointed mix of thoughts — and I will get it posted to my “blog” as soon as I am able — this is ‘fluid,’ free-writing session — interupted by a several minute dash to stir the rice, and keep it from sticking to the pan.
I also, need to adjust the text size in th TextEdit on my laptop, the print is too small for me to read comfortably…
The GEDCOM is close to being imported; and the rice is getting near being done; so I guess my writing needs to be completed before either of these.
I will type more again later today.
For now, bare with the spelling errors, I will copy-read this text soon…
