Saturday…reading.

Lunch was ‘different’, if not exciting.

Am not real energetic today; although I got up and fed the cats before 9:00 a.m. — which they were glad of. The broth from last night seemed their favorite of the ‘dishes’ served.

I talked to them, made sure everyone had a fair chance to eat, then I straggled back up to the trailer.

After Dave went for a walk; we had cereal and bananas for breakfast. (Tidbits are saved for the cats’ dinner.)

Having gone to bed early last night, seems to have help fight off the clammy feeling that said I needed to call it a night early (last night). I did touch base with Mom, and gave her a raincheck, until Monday — hopefully I won’t have to postposne the trip again.

It looks as if there may be rain heading into Alabama, sometime Monday; but the rains/storms are expected until sometime Tuesday aftrnoon, if then (by then by the weather forecast).

I have no new “links” for the day — as yet. If I am up to typing, I might have at least one later. If not I will add a couple to the next lengthy entry in this blog.

For now, I have sinus pressure threatening, and a fairly interesting books calling to me.

As for the book-pricing? Did get about 60 (+/-) priced yesterday. They are wating patiently for the step in theire trip into the database; and will wait for now.

More later.

Popcorn showers, and sun

Been down, reading most of the day. Head is threatening a throb, but not quite a throb yet — that’s an improvement from the “weeble” morning I started out with.

Dave has been resting; and just went out for walk. He needed to get out of the house for a while.

I finished my book, made-up the bed, did a toilet stop, then put a load of white chothes into wash. Maybe the soda and caffiene will fend off the sinus symptoms that seem to be lurking in my head.

We split the creal for breakfast, then we had egg salad sanwiches for lunch.

I must admit, with the weather (inside my head, and outdoors) the way is is today; not much seems to getting done. But, then again the day is long from done.

I may wabble to the post box by the road, soon. Since I need to get some movement/exercise; to shake off the mental fog the comes with my sinus problems.

My rambling entry, is even more so at the moment; I am trying to keep things in some sort of order; but the thoughts are behaving like a greased pig “so slippery, they can’t be cornered”.

Guess I will drink some soda, walk, surf the web, read, do laundry, and see about a grand-er more thought provoking text later today/tonight.

I do have an update on my projet; plus there are several spelling errors I need to correct on previous web things. So that should give me some goals for the afternoon. That, and trying to price more paperback books (which are still on the floor, to my left).

As for the books. They are getting proccessed, one by one; as I am able to get at the computer, and do so. My workspace, resembles a “workspace” — complete with a parial dusting of paper fuzz, red dust, and broom straw.

The sun has come out form the clouds — (sigh) I think I’ll head to the pos box.

I will write again, later today.

Spring in Alabama, warm and wet.

The morning was warm, and dry.

Lunch was warm pasta and sauce. After a trip for more timbers at Marvin’s I set about washing, putting away dishes; and anticipating the storm that had been stalled out most of the morning around Tuscaloosa.

Dave, this morning, went and bush-hogged the powerline right or way, on the hilltop; then came down for lunch. The bushhog needed oil; and he needed lunch.

Right after we finished lunch, I had things ready; went and mailed a book, picked up milk, and mayo at the grocery store.

The eggs I was boiling, for breakfast, were delayed; so I set them aside to cool, while we ate cereal for breakfast. The mayo was needed to complete the egg salad, thus I just put the preparation later on the scedule. While running errands, I wrapped them up, and placed them in the fridge.

Egg salad. Not something I fix everyday. Some “experts” say they have too much chollestoral (sp?.) ; but they can be a very tasty swich from the ordinary.

Anyway. As the skies grow darker, and the radar shows the wet stuff getting closer, I figured I’d post something, today.

And since I missed posted any links for the day — yesterday; I wanted to take care of this early today.

Here they are:

Talldega Daily Home
Gmail.com – free email
Flikr.com – free photo site
Used.addall.com – Book search/pricing site.
CBS News – online
Southern Silver(s) Family – Silver family site
Edrian’s Online Album, Page 1 – (recent project)
Edrian’s Album, Page 2
Edrian’s Album, Page 3

and…

Last:

Geocities – if you are curious, check it out.

Okay, the first few raindrops are coming down; rolling over the greenhouse plastic, and I think I should close for now. Any corrections that this post may need, will wait until later.

Until then…

“Loafing” around…bread loaf that is.

AROUND THE FARM

Dave and Billy are down at the creek, building a new bridge; made from landscaping timbers.

I have been tag-teaming between shifts of cold water, trying to get the glassware, and candy dishes washed and put away until they are needed.

JACKSONILLE ERRANDS

Earlier I made a trip to Jacksonville’s Walmart, on errand for Bread Machine yeast, Acetominophen, MSM, and a ream of typing/printer paper. It was a quiet trip, and with the new location ofr Walmart in J’ville — there was no need to get on a ‘main’ highway; all the roads/streets were quiet, and posted at 25mph.

Uh, yes I bought 1 other item — “The Prisoner of Azkaban” on DVD. I had been waiting, as patiently as I could — the DVD had been released in October (2004).

The newest loaf of light wheat bread is now ‘timed’ on doing its thing in the bread machine.

ACTIVITIES/PROJECTS

In order to get more chores/projects done today; I am not going to watch the movie, or do any in-depth tree research, until dark or later.

I succeeded in sorting out which books were priced, and which were to “be priced” before calling it done, last night. We sold one book, yesterday. If I get more input, and uploaded there will be a better change chance of someone else finding a book that peaks their interest.

POETRY/WRITING

“Poetry.com” sent me an invitation to submit an original poem and boigraphical biographical information for an upcoming “Who’s Who” of poetry. The finished/printed volume want will not be done until September. There is a contest to go along with the “honor” of being published; but I doubt I will see any of the cash prizes. Just the same, I will probably submit something. The idea being do I want to ‘air out’ and older poem; or polish-up a newer one?

We will see.

For now, I am going back to pricing paperback books; until something breaks my attention from such activity.

Catch you later.

First entry from the iBook

Netscape crashed on the desktop cpu, so I had to restart it; thus I decided to type an entry using my Apple laptop. The ‘beep’ of the bread machine, urgently called me to a freshly hot loaf of bread. (The first loaf, …wasn’t a loaf, so Dave made another one)

I fixed a hasty canned pasta dinner; then Dave — being exhausted — slowly made his way to a much needed after dinner nap.

Since finishing out dinner; I delivered the warm semi-loaf (broken in large pieces) to the very happy crew of 8 felines. The ninth cat, “Shaggy”, did not venture out while I was on the trailer stoop. He spends most of his time in the barn, or harrassing the other cats, and such. That delivery finished, I check the kithen, and the bread timer; then crawled into a foot-warming cover, and got futher into “Nursery Crimes”.

A Bathroom trip, led to washing hands, led to clean hands; checking the timer — then washing about half of today’s dirty breakfast/lunch/dinner dishes. As the water began quickly cooling I stopped, looked the brea timer once more then made m way to the computer.

It seems this post is right back where I began the “train of thought” in this post. Does that mean I have found a excellent way to sign off gracefully?

Could be….

I’ll be back later (via iBook, in the other room.) — then I will add the “links for the day”.

Until then I’ll be lingering, deeply inhaling the aroma of freshly cooked, HOT bread; and wanting a taste. But I can resist it (Honest! I can).

Until then,

Perry Mason book

Just checked the email; had someone asking about a Perry Mason title. Dave scanned the cover (http://bluespringsbazaar.com/PerryMason/index.html) and I replied to the query.

Hopefully the interested party will be back in touch.

I tried posting a rather lengthy entry the other evening; but with the weather, and my forgetfulness — I failed to save the text.

Ah, the joys of learning about posting to a “blog” –

1) Always remember to save your most recent post.

:-)

I’ll be in touch again soon.

I have book (mystery) calling my name, from the other room.
